Directory Submission

A directory submission is sending website listing information to Directories like:

     Yahoo, Open Directory and others.

The information that you provide to the Directories usually goes far beyond the information that is provided in a search engine submission. For a Directory you may be asked for complete website address (URL), title, description, keywords, website category and subcategory, sub-subcategories, type of website, website owner's name, address, telephone, e-mail address, etc.

You will have to search first for the appropriate category where you feel it is fits best in the directory and this may take some time because there may be many different sub-categories under the main category that you felt was the most suitable for your website.

You could also find that your first choice in categorizing your site wasn't the most appropriate one after all, and you will have to do it all over again and again until you get it right. This might not the easiest thing to do and it might take a lot of your time, but it is worth doing it.
