Classified Advertising

There are two kinds in the Internet: free, paid advertising and a mix of both.

Free advertising is usually provided by companies that are starting out and want to become popular by letting advertisers use their free service until they start getting plenty of traffic and then they start charging for their services.

Sometimes these Companies charge for premium services like for placing paid advertisements in the first places, making the fonts bold or colored, enclosing
the advertisement in a rectangle, placing an icon besides the advertisement or any just about anything that will distinguish these advertisement from the rest.

Paid advertising is usually, but not always, provided by companies that are well known and that already have a high traffic rate. Either one of these type of companies can be easily found using any of the search engines using the search term, in quotes: "free advertising", "free classifieds", or "advertising", "classified advertising", etc.
